USERS of a centre for homeless and lonely people will no longer need to play 'air-guitar' after being donated a real guitar for a music workshop they are trying to start.
Maggs Day Centre, on Deansway in Worcester, is appealing for donations of anything from pianos and guitars to recorders and tambourines so clients can come along and learn to play an instrument.
The appeal was launched on Monday and the centre, which also runs art workshops on Wednesday afternoons, has already had the offer of a guitar.
"If people have got instruments that they don't use and they are gathering dust up in the attic we would like them to donate them to us," said volunteer co-ordinator Mel Kirk.
Anyone else wanting to donate an instrument can either drop in at the centre or call Mr Kirk on 01905 25027.
