HUNTINGDON Hall in Worcester is the venue for an appearance by the Wilko Johnson Band on Friday.
Co-founder of Dr Feelgood, during his time with the band as guitarist and songwriter, they released four classic albums, including the number one live album Stupidity.
A Huntingdon Hall spokesman said: "Wilko Johnson was part of a band which produced high energy stage shows and a unique brand of R 'n' B which earned them both critical acclaim and a strong public following."
He added: "Live, they were simply the best act of their time, defining the potency of rock 'n' roll."
Two ex-members of Ian Drury and the Blockheads join Wilko on stage - Norman Watt-Roy, an accomplished bass player who has appeared with artists as diverse as The Clash and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and drummer Monti, who has also played with The Jesus and Mary Chain.
The concert starts at 8pm and tickets cost £9 (£8 concessions) on 01905 611427.
