HIMBLETON Cricket Club First XI lost for the seventh time this season, going down by three wickets at home to Tenbury to stay bottom of Worcestershire County League division four.
Dean Oliver's side gave themselves every chance of their second victory of the campaign by posting 253, but the visitors reached their total with two overs to spare.
Oliver won the toss and elected to bat. After a slow start, the tempo was increased with Pete Rogers (61), Matt McCann (56) and Oliver (60), including 28 off one over, the main contributors to the hosts' 253 all out. Tenbury's Benny Thompson took 4-14 from four overs.
However, five Himbleton batsmen failed to register a run.
In reply, Himbleton wicket keeper John Critchlow accounted for five Tenbury batsmen, but Chris Giles top scored with 56 to steer the visitors home with three wickets in hand.
