A PIONEERING venture between football and computer gaming is being launched at Rubery Juniors Football Club next month.
Software giants EA Sports has chosen the club as one of only five in England to kick-off its grassroots football programme on Tuesday, August 5.
The new initiative gives youngsters the chance to play one half of a football match on the pitch and the other on a playstation games console. Sessions for 12 to 16-year-olds, at Baytree Farm, in Middle Lane, Wythall, start at 9am.
The free event is by invitation only. Application forms are available from Tim Hodgson on 0207 720 9272 or log on to www.ruberyjuniors.com
