DELIGHTED students from a Bromsgrove school have been awarded the green flag for their eco-friendly attitude to the environment.
Two representatives from the Tidy Britain Group visited Aston Fields Middle School in Drummond Road to assess their application for eco-school status.
And, after months of hard work, the youngsters proudly accepted the green flag - which is the highest level award they can get for helping the environment.
The assessors were particularly impressed by the areas developed around the school and conversations they had with the children.
Teacher Rashu Brauchli said: "A very big thank you to all members of the eco-committee, the year group representatives and especially to Karen McNamara for her unfailing enthusiasm, inspiration and hard work."
