CARNIVAL festivities may be over but the hard work was far from forgotten as the town's carnival queen awarded the trophy for the best float this week.
Spa beauty, Stephanie Warburton handed over the trophy to the Norbury Theatre for the best float on Monday, July 14.
Town mayor, Jan Bolton judged the competition and was impressed by the float, dressed under the theme of Kings and Queens both past and present.
The float, organised by the Friar Street Theatre carried the carnival queen and princesses for their journey around town on Saturday, July 5.
Stephanie who helps run the family business, The Salt Rock Caf in Gurney's Lane said: "I had a wonderful weekend and it was honour to hand over the trophy to the Norbury Theatre."
Norbury Theatre committee member, Trevor Edwards who helped decorate the float said: "Thanks to the help of my son James it was a wonderful day and everything we did was to make the day special for the carnival queen and princesses. But we want better competition next year ," he added.
