EVESHAM emerged victorious after the most exciting third and final round of the Nuneaton League at Tamworth.
The swimmers worked as a team both in and out of the water, supporting each other all the way through to the final event.
The team performed well from the start and produced many excellent displays and personal best times.
The children and parents alike raised the roof with their singing and cheering when the results confirmed Evesham as the winning team.
This victory coupled with two first places in earlier rounds secures Evesham a place in the second division final at Wolverhampton in September.
In the nine-year age group, there were third places for Bryony Nickson (breaststroke), Amy Camp (free-style/backstroke), David Jubb (breaststroke/freestyle) and a first for Jacob Knight in his individual back-stroke event.
The girls joined forces with Chloe Etherington and Abi Pallett to achieve second place in the medley and freestyle relays and the boys were joined by Adriano Ritchie and James Bartram to also touch second in the medley relay and third in the freestyle relay.
Ten-year-old Stephanie Richardson touched second in the breaststroke and Jessica Grove third in the freestyle. And, with the addition of Caitlin Donnahey and Katherine Fitzgerald, the freestyle relay team touched second.
Iain Davidson, Andrew Powell, Robert Bennett and Joe Evans swam to third place in the freestyle relay team in this age group.
The successful 11-year-old age group saw top spot for Elizabeth Hinsley in the backstroke and runner-up in the breaststroke.
Sofia Mayhew touched third in the freestyle and the girls were joined by Caitlin Donnahey to romp to vic-tory in the freestyle relay, Jenny Bell also helped the medley team to third place.
Cameron Brodie had two wins in the butterfly and freestyle events, while Hayden Godbold and Luke Pal-lett secured runner-up spots in the breaststroke and backstroke respectively.
Andrew, Hayden, Cameron and Luke won their medley relay with ease and Joe Evans joined the boys to take another top spot in the freestyle relay.
There were many wins in the 12-year age group. Clemence Rich was first in her freestyle swim and Justine Bennett managed a third in her individual butterfly event.
Clemence and Justine were joined by Sophie Dagnall, Sofia and Elizabeth to touch first in the freestyle and medley relays - a feat matched by the 12-year old boys thanks to Addie Hancock, Ramsay Evans, Matthew Phillips and Alfie Sutton.
Addie also swam to victory in the individual freestyle and backstroke events.
The 8 x 1 girls' freestyle relay saw Bryony, Amy, Jessica, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Sofia, Sophie and Clem-ence swim to an easy victory.
The boys team of David, James, Iain, Joe, Luke, Cameron, Ramsay and Addie touched third and the mixed team of Amy, David, Jessica, Joe, Sofia, Cameron, Clemence and Addie matched that finish.
Final placings: 1 Evesham 212pts;, 2 Tamworth 203; 3 Bromsgrove 197; 4 Lichfield 148 ; 5 Leicester Belgrave 133; 6 Shrewsbury.
