EVESHAM Motor Cycle Club's grass track meeting at Willersey was run in excellent conditions last Saturday when a new Worcestershire champion was crowned.
Mark Williams was a worthy winner after winning six of his seven races.
In the final, Jon Cox from Runcorn and reigning champion Mark Chilman made Williams work hard for his title but they could make no impression on the rider from Newent.
Outstanding in the up to 350cc class was 15-year-old Jack Hargreaves from Shrewsbury, who, in his first year of adult racing, showed that he will be a threat to all in that class as he won all five races.
The Pre-75 class was dominated by Dave Norris from Manchester who was unbeaten in five outings.
