PUPILS from a Redditch middle school have been awarded certificates after taking part in a drugs awareness course.
The seven-week scheme, called The Star Course, is aimed at 10 and 11 year olds and teaches them to Stop, Think, Act and Reflect, particularly in connection with drug abuse and its dangers.
Redditch police school liaison officer Pc Quita Freeman ran the course alongside curriculum lessons on citizenship and drug awareness.
Pc Freeman visits all schools in the area, as well as helping to co-ordinate a series of initiatives operated through the summer holidays.
