BUDDING rock stars are being urged to take to the stage at Party in the Park events in Evesham and Pershore next month.
As well as live music the events, which are organised by Wychavon District Council, will also feature skateboarding and basketball.
The council's arts development officer Louise Fenton said there were more attractions yet to be confirmed. "We are still putting the final details in place for this year's event but the live music is a definite. There is such musical talent throughout the district and this is a perfect chance to show that off."
The council held similar events last year and took advantage of the crowds to find out more about what young people wanted. "The young people took part in a survey which we conducted at the parks.
"Their comments were put forward and used in our Community Plan which aims to improve quality of life in Wychavon."
The Party in the Park will be coming to Pershore on August 18 and Evesham on August 27.
Bands, singers and other performers can book their places on the stage by picking up a registration form from council shops or call Louise Fenton on 01386 565396.
