GLENN McGrath and Elliott Wilson are both expected to shake off hamstring injuries and play in Worcestershire Royals' Norwich Union National League Division One clash against Yorkshire Phoenix at Headingley tomorrow.
Both suffered the minor setbacks in the County's three-day draw against Cambridge University at Fenner's this week.
Australian pace ace McGrath returned early from the game after pulling up with a hamstring strain only five overs into his opening spell.
Batsman Wilson suffered his injury while making his second half-century in the match.
Another casualty this week has been New Road coach Bill Athey who has had an operation for a wear and tear knee injury.
He is expected to be on crutches for the next couple of week before returning to his full training duties in three or four weeks time.
"Bill's in good form and says he's in no pain," said County secretary Mike Vockins.
Athey is hoping to be at Headingley tomorrow when Worcestershire will be bidding to turn the tables after losing by 19 runs to Yorkshire in last Sunday's opening National League game of the season at New Road.
McGrath will be aiming to carry on where he left off after producing the remarkable figures of 9-6-9-4.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire will have captain Graeme Hick available to play in next week's County Championship match against Middlesex which gets under way at New Road on Thursday.
He was originally due to have attended a three-day England training camp at Taunton, which has now been cancelled.
Coach Duncan Fletcher had been criticised from various counties for calling the camp next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, a week before the first Test against Zimbabwe at Lord's.
But he has now decided to abort it because of the badly rain-affected start to the season.
Worcestershire will select from: Pollard, Solanki, Hick, Spiring, Wilson, Leatherdale, Rhodes, Lampitt, Illingworth, McGrath, Sheriyar, Rawnsley.
