PASSERS-BY joined in as a small group of churchgoers held prayers for peace outside Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday.
The Vicar of Kidderminster, Rev Canon Owain Bell, said the vigil started at 12.30pm with a "handful" of people.
"I was saying a prayer and when I looked around, I saw around 50 people had joined us," he said. "It was an expression of people's concern. People may have held different views about the war but they all prayed for a speedy end."
He said the church was opened in the afternoon for people to say more prayers if they wished.
