KIDDERMINSTER Harriers cruised to a 5-2 victory over Stourbridge in last night's Worcestershire Senior Cup second round clash at Am-blecote.
Harriers, who beat Worcester City in last season's two-leg final, had wrapped the match up by half time when they led 4-0.
For manager Jan Molby's Nationwide Conference table-toppers it was their first cup tie win of the campaign having fallen at the first hurdle in the FA Cup, FA Umbro Trophy and Nationwide Mac-millan Trophy.
Harriers took the lead in the 12th minute when Les Hines scored from the penalty spot after Mark Druce had been brought down by Morgan Brookes.
In the 22nd minute it was 2-0 when a fine through pass by Paul Webb en-abled Stewart Hadley to calmly knock the ball past keeper Richard Attwood.
Andy Brownrigg, in the first team for the first time since October following a cartilage operation, made it 3-1 when he headed in a cross from Hines after 35 minutes.
Just before half time the Glassboys contributed to their own downfall when Morgan Brookes hit the ball into his own net following a cross from Mike Marsh. After the break Stourbridge, who are currently in the lower reaches of the Dr Martens League Western Division, staged a spirited fightback which began with Lee Bullimore scoring from close range in the 58th minute.
Five minutes later they reduced the arrears to 4-2 when Kevin Brookes swept in a cross from Andy Yapp.
Kidderminster, however, completed the scoring in the 85th minute when Marsh fired in an unstoppable shot from 20 yards for his first goal for the club.
