THREE members of Worcester Rugby Club's ladies section will be in action against Australia this weekend.
Winger Nicky Crawford and scrum half Joanne Yapp have both been named in the starting line up as England prepare to take on Australia in the first of two Test matches.
Hooker Nicola Goodwin is a replacement for the match that kicks off at 7.30pm at Eastwood in Sydney.
The trio left England on Saturday for a four-week tour of Australia and New Zealand. The tour includes two Tests against each country plus mid-week fixtures.
l A number of Worcester's players took top honours at the recent University College Worcester (UCW) Annual Colours Awards.
Worcester ladies captain and England scrum half Yapp was awarded the Top Female Sports Performer Award for her achievements in the Six Nations Championship and Hong Kong Sevens.
The men's first XV, containing many members of the Worcester Rugby Academy, were nominated for three awards; top club, top team and outstanding achievement.
The ladies' rugby side, containing numerous Worcester ladies players, was also nominated in the top team, top club and outstanding achievement catergories.
Full colours went to Worcester flanker Simon Daws who was also nominated for the top male sports performer award. Daws has represented English Universities and England Students.
Yapp and fellow Worcester Ladies and England squad member Sarah Grigg also received their full colours.
Club colours were awarded to Worcester ladies players Helen Potts and Jess Griffin.
