YOUR headline article (Malvern Gazette, June 4) has inevitable led to a serious misapprehension about the situation at Malvern Link CE Primary School.
Your article was, to say the least, one-sided. Even the quoted comments from the LEA and the diocese gave no material support to the school and its staff.
My daughter is a recent past pupil at the school and I can assure you I am certain the school does an excellent job for its pupils and works closely with parents to ensure that any issues that arise are dealt with effectively and appropriately.
I hope you will find the opportunity to print another article to help repair the damage caused by last week's headlines, you might also like to consider some further questions such as:
You report that the Malvern Hills District Council's community safety department "helped pursue the case". Did it attempt to resolve the issue by approaching the school directly?
You report that Julien Kramer, director of education at Worcestershire County Council, said that "None of the other 300 schools in the county have come under similar fire," yet the Worcester Evening News quoted Mohammed Aslam, chief executive of Worcestershire's Racial Equality Council, as saying "There have been allegations of similar problems around Worcestershire's education system, but this is the only one that has entered the public domain." Who is right?
