A CRICKET team is bowled over after recording its first victory - after seven years.
A stunned Chasers cricket team from Colwall admitted to being stumped as to how to celebrate after their shock result.
The momentous occasion came after around 70 games, during a tour of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
After building a solid total of 150 for seven wickets, the Chasers, who all drink at the Chase Pub in Colwall, skittled out their opponents for a paltry 85.
"We didn't know how to celebrate," said the team's social secretary, David Pilfold. "It was interesting to get clapped off the pitch rather than congratulating the other team."
So what was the secret to the success? It was certainly not the training regime.
"Although we take it seriously once we get onto the pitch, we run a policy that it's illegal to practice," said Mr Pilfold.
"I think it's just that we played above our usual standard. Man-of-the-match Jonty Pearce took three wickets and scored 37 and Nick Waller took three for no runs.
"Plus this season we've reduced our average age in the squad. I think it's gone down from about 50 to 45.
"We're a strictly for-fun team - though we might have to change the club rules now to allow a bit of practice."
But the lads have already failed to keep their hot streak going.
"Normal service has been resumed - we lost at the weekend," said David.
