MALVERN has enjoyed its hottest weather of the year - but still has some way to go before reaching its record.
Temperatures reached 32.7 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit) on Tuesday, the hottest it has been since 1995.
But the sun will have to beat a little harder for it to reach the all-time high of 35.8 degrees Celsius (96 degrees Fahrenheit) measured in August 1990.
Town weather recorder Frank Hill, said: "You get a lot of very poorly qualified comments on television and radio when they keep referring to 1976 as the hot year. But there were several hot years since then and the most recent was 1995."
But he does not expect the 1990 record to go.
