CHILDREN from Chernobyl holidaying in Malvern enjoyed their month in the town.
Ten youngsters from the city, which was ravaged by a nuclear reactor accident in 1986, took part in a series of events, including a discovery day at Malvern Priory, a visit to the circus and a trip to a sealife centre in Birmingham.
Alina Zhuk, a member of the group which left for home on Wednesday, said: "Everything here was very, very excellent. The children have improved their health because they are very happy - now they don't want to go home!
"We are very, very grateful to all the people who helped us and supported us like our host families."
