THE last and only time I was given the opportunity to vote on Europe concerned a free market. Now we are all but governed by people for whom there was no election.

PM Blair intends to force us to accept even more dictation and subservience to peoples whose freedom we fought and died for. The reason why Blair is in such a hurry to deliver us is there for all to see - he wants to lead Europe.

Blair was conned into the Gulf War by President Bush, who might have been conned himself. Till then I gave him modest support, but never again.

I saw him as a Liberal dreamer. Now I regard him as a dangerous dictator, taking scant recognition of the law or the procedures of parliamentary government. He has a conceit of his righteousness and self-importance. There is hardly any department his government has managed to deliver, education and health being the worst cases. Thank God the Bank of England deal with interest rates.
