A PILGRIMAGE is to take place from Malvern to Worcester in support of trade justice.
It is being organised by the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, and will set out from the car park of Safeway in Malvern's at 10am on Sunday, September 14.
It will stop for lunch at Stanbrook Abbey in Callow End before going on to Carrington Bridge in Worcester.
Pilgrims will then go to Worcester Cathedral to hear an Evensong on trade justice from Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Birmingham.
Organiser and CAFOD volunteer Eileen Richardson said there would be several stops along the eight-mile route to allow people to join in.
"The idea of the pilgrimage is to be in prayerful and spiritual support of people in developing countries, and to show our solidarity with them," she said.
She added that a good turnout is expected for the event, which is believed to be only the third example of its kind in Britain. Anyone interested in joining in should call her on 01684 560417.
