Malvern RFC, playing in Midlands Two (West) next season, have resumed full pre-season training under new coach Paul Essenhigh and assistant Gareth Richards.
Training sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7pm and 9pm, when players of all abilities are welcome.
Director of rugby David Robins said: "We have a good nucleus of proven players but certainly need to build upon this given that for the last three seasons we have seen over 40 players make first XV appearances. We are particularly keen to welcome younger players who can join our Development XV, coached and run by Simon Dixon, so they can quickly be assimilated into senior rugby.
Malvern have made steady improvements to their facilities over the summer, which will culminate in an extended training area with the floodlighting of the top pitch at Spring Lane. The changing area refurbishment is now complete, with excellent dressing room facilities and fitness and treatment rooms.
At the AGM, Peter Doran was voted in as new chairman, succeeding the long and successful tenure of Dave Beech; Bill Rickar-by was elected hon. president; Bill Pomeroy takes over as secretary while John Taverner remains as treasurer, with Mike Calvert taking over as clubhouse chairman. Gary Tolley agreed to remain as chairman of youth development, although a plea has gone out for volunteers to relieve him of some of the administrative burden shouldered for so long.
