A FOUNDER member of the Malvern-based Vital Spark choir was remembered on Sunday.
The choir, which sings West Gallery church music, presented a picture in memory of Diana Hannah to the church of St Clydawg, in Clodoch, Wales, where it has been a frequent visitor.
Diana, a health visitor, of Worcester, died last year following a brave struggle with cancer.
The picture, a 19th Century print entitled A Village Choir, was presented to Rev Frank Rogers of St Clydawg's.
Vital Spark performed evensong at the church, singing hymns, a psalm, the Magnificat, Nunc Dimitis, the Lord's Prayer and an anthem, all in the style of the 1750-1850 period.
The presentation was part of a day's outing by the choir which also involved a music session in the churchyard at Walterstone, near Abergavenny, and singing in Kilpeck church.
Earlier this year, Diana's ashes were scattered on the Worcestershire Beacon while the choir sang.
Diana and her husband Richard were among the founders of Upton Folk Festival. The Appleyard folk dancing side, of which Diana was also a member, is holding a day of dance in her memory at the Three Kings, Hanley Castle, on Saturday, July 26. The day, to which many folk dancing sides have been invited, runs from 11am until 4pm.
