The Malvern Football League has announced the continuation of its sponsorship deal with The Soccer Site for the forthcoming season.
Due to a large number of clubs joining the senior league, it will now be split into two divisions. This means there a chance for any interested clubs who have not already applied to join to do so as the final date for new applications has been extended until August 1.
If you are interested and wish to discuss joining the league, contact Joe Whitehouse on 01684 310790.
In the Under-18 Youth Division, the opposite is the situation.
With a minimum of eight teams needed for the league to operate, as of July 10 no firm applications had been received - despite numerous enquiries especially from last season's under-16 teams. It therefore appears likely that the youth division will not operate unless there is a rush of applications in the next fortnight.
The league says this will be regrettable it wished to keep youth football going in the area to enable young players to bridge the gap between leagues such as the Mercian and Stourport Boys and senior leagues in the area.
