Where's my dinner? by Rebecca Elgar (Egmont, £4.99)
CHILDREN like shouting. And lots of it. They especially like shouting when they are encouraged to do so by adults and not told to be quiet.
This book will give your children the opportunity to do lots and lots of shouting. The only problem will be getting them to stop.
Rebecca Elgar's Where's my dinner? has, as you would expect, something of a theme running through it.
First, there's the dog. And he's hungry. He has a question to ask. Can you guess what it is? Then there's the cat, then the rabbit, the bird and lastly, of course, the young child.
A full-colour stiff board book (with flaps to lift and a pretty groovy pop-up at the end), Where's my dinner? will help introduce very young children to the world of books - by making them fun things that they want to get down from the shelf when they fancy some fun and a bit of shouting.
