NOMADS 1st XI's victory was almost as emphatic, completing a win by the margin of eight wickets.
Stourport batted first and struggled early on, particularly against the pace and accuracy of Ian Jinks, whose first 12 overs resulted in nine maidens, three wickets and just six runs. It was only some late attacking from the lower order that brought the score up to 164-7.
Simon Harris and Malcolm Jones got Nomads off to a good start, rarely looking in trouble. When Harris fell for 25, Blake Raymond was promoted up the order and, following his disappointment at being left out of the county under-17s team, gave the county selectors much to think about with an impressive 32 not out. With just two runs required for victory, Jones played one drive too many and was bowled and was bowled by Bailey for 96.
