Charlie Griffiths and Tom Longley, two of Worcester Nomads Sunday 1sts' promising youngsters, opened the bowling, restricting home side Pencombe to 23-1 from the opening 10 overs.
Ollie Griffiths then took over and in a hostile spell, took 4-14 from eight overs. Barrett and Brown put on 101 for the sixth wicket, recovering from 53-5. Brown went on to remain unbeaten on 85, as they set Nomads 197 to win.
Isaacs fell early but Steve Bowman and Andy Leach set about the bowling until Bowman nicked one to the wicket-keeper having made 53.
Wickets were falling at the other end and it came to the final over with Nomads needing nine to win.
With one needed to tie off the final ball, Leach (83no) was unable to make contact and skipper Dave Finbow was run out by a direct hit
from the wicketkeeper, leaving Nomads defeated.
