MALVERN travelled to Hereford on Saturday and came away with a winning draw after another good team performance.
Malvern batted first and got off to a fine start again from Adam Dovey and Mark Baugh, before Dovey was out for 33 with the score on 63.
Mark Hooper was adjudged lbw and there were no real partnerships of note until Paul Young joined Baugh and they added 47 for the seventh wicket before Young was out for ten.
Neal Thompson then came to the wicket and put on an unbroken stand of 31 for the eighth wicket with Baugh, who smashed 19 runs from the final over to bring up a chanceless century (11 fours, one six). Malvern finished on 202.
Rob Francis, bowling one of his quickest spells of the season took the wickets of Brett and Brown. Mockler looked dangerous until he was dismissed by Thompson.
A Dovey bowled a superb spell which yielded only 12 runs from eight overs. Tom Poole, bowling his debut overs in the first team, clearly unsettled the middle order with his pace and looks an exciting prospect, picking up two wickets in his five overs.
Hereford were still in the hunt for a victory but dismissals, none better than David Arnold's brilliant stumping off Thompson always checked their progress.
Smith hit a belligerent 39 but in the end the home side played out for a draw to deny Malvern.
Francis bowled another fine spell and Thompson bowled 17 tremendous overs without an ounce of luck.
