MALVERN got back to winning ways with an impressive win against Hereford on Saturday.
After winning the toss captain S Walker decided to field. After a steady start it was Llewellen who looked the most competent batsman who eventually made a confident 77. Dovey took the first wicket and then Cox (4-45) came on and bowled superbly. R Cullen bowled promisingly and finished with 2-30.
Chasing 230 to win, Malvern started well.
D Cox, true to from, hit a brisk and impressive 56 backed by the experienced Walwyn who hit a timely 38.
Then the youthful Cullen and Prosser played at ease with scores of 27 and 23 respectively, with the latter unbeaten and it was Sumner who hit the winning runs with a boundary.
