A WORCESTERSHIRE hotel has stressed it is still very much open for business after it was reported in the press the previous owners had gone into liquidation.
The new management at St Andrew's House Hotel, in Droitwich, said it was important customers knew the hotel had not gone into liquidation and it was taking bookings for accommodation and functions.
The confusion arose when previous owners L G H Ltd gave their trading address as the Worcester Road hotel in their notice of liquidation printed in newspapers.
"A lot of customers are worrying we might be closing down," said Neil Hanson, general manager.
"But that could not be further from the truth. Since taking over, business is going really well and bookings are healthy.
"The hotel has also been fully refurbished throughout since we took over a year ago."
The new owners are Derek Hine and John Kirk, who bought the hotel in April 2002.
