A WOMAN who moved her business from Birmingham to a cowshed in Bransford, near Worcester, has said she has no regrets.
Sharon McSwiney relocated her jewellery and metalwork business from Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter to Bransford 12 months ago.
After 12 years of working in the Jewellery Quarter, a desire to work in a more rural area and spend less time commuting prompted the move.
Working from a converted cowshed in the Foal Yard art gallery, Sharon regularly has visitors to her studio where a display of jewellery, metalwork and greetings cards can be seen at the same time as viewing the designing and making process, which Sharon is happy to discuss.
Commissions for larger, one-off pieces allow her to further develop designs, which include animals and figures in jewellery, wall pieces and items for the garden.
"I have been very pleasantly surprised by peoples' response to my work since moving here," she said.
"I am sure I will continue to enjoy working in the Foal Yard and I am already planning ahead for Christmas with silver and gold plated fairies for the tree!"
