RESIDENTS on a Worcester estate are "bathing" in happiness now their water supplies have returned to normal.
Householders throughout Ronkswood had been left high and dry on eight separate occasions in just four-weeks.
Faulty equipment at the Newtown pumping station was the main reason behind this unforeseen dry spell - with residents claiming supplies were shut off on some occasions for up to five-hours.
But enjoying a refreshing "cuppa" at any time of the day is now a luxury afforded to residents in Ripon Road, Canterbury Road, Norwich Road and Durham Road - just some of the previously affected areas.
"The water is now back to normal, hopefully it will stay like it. We've been fine the last couple of days," said one resident, who asked not to be named.
A spokeswoman for Severn Trent Water had issued an apology for the inconvenience to residents in the Evening News on Friday.
She confirmed the recent incidents during July had been caused by a pump failure and all necessary repair work had now been carried out.
A power station failure, which in turn effected the station's pumps, accounted for another previous cuts to supplies back in June.
