A CHARITY that offers support to disabled people in South Worcestershire has received a grant for almost £100,000.
Disability Information Advice Line (DIAL) will use the £97,901 grant from The Community Fund for the continuation of its Welfare Benefit Service.
The charity received the first grant in December 2000, to last a period of three years, and the new grant will last until 2006.
The welfare service offers advice and information about benefit entitlements along with support and assistance when claiming disability benefits.
The charity also carries out home visits for people who find it difficult to travel to the office in the CrownGate Shopping Centre.
"We are delighted the Community Fund has again recognised the importance of this extremely valuable service for people with disabilities and their carers living in South Worcestershire," said Joan Lander, manager of the area's DIAL branch.
Anyone who wants to know about the Welfare Benefit Service can contact DIAL on 01905 27790.
