STEVE Pope's change of heart has boosted Bromsgrove Rovers pre-season schedule.
The Victoria Ground favourite, in action in tonight's latest pre-season friendly at home to Woodford, is back in the fold after the briefest spell at Redditch United during the summer.
It has been an eventful period for the ex-Kidderminster star whose move to Solihull collapsed in June due to the club's financial problems.
There then followed a switch to Redditch but Pope realised it was not the move for him and hot-footed it back to Bromsgrove.
"He spoke to Redditch manager Rod Brown about the situation who was understanding and allowed him to transfer back to Rovers" said Bromsgrove manager George Rooney.
"I think he just felt he made a mistake. He came for pre-season training and had a change of heart."
Rovers are still without the injured Ross Collins who twisted an ankle in the first training session of pre-season.
Meanwhile, Evesham United are in action at Common Road tonight (7.45) when they entertain Littleton.
