n M. BURCHER (You Say, Tuesday, July 15) asked if anyone had noticed that the Union Jack is now being called the Union Flag.
This is because Union Flag is the correct title and people have been miscalling it the Union Jack for years.
It should only be called the Union Jack when it's being flown from the Jackstaff - that's at the front end! - of a Royal Navy ship.
