A CROSS-dressing man, who changed his name to Suzanne and was awaiting a sex change operation, has been found dead at his Worcester home.
Forty-seven-year-old Suzanne Ford, formerly called Steven Havercroft, was discovered by police in "extreme squalor" on the bedroom floor of his home in Lichfield Avenue.
Mr Ford, a switchboard operator, had a history of ill health - including a blood clot and lung problems - and the alarm was raised after he had not been seen for four days.
Officers entered his home on Wednesday, July 16, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
An inquest into his death was opened yesterday at Worcestershire County Coroners' Court, but was adjourned for further investigation into the cause of death.
