A TEENAGER was punched in the head and repeatedly kicked by a gang of youths as he walked through Batchley to meet friends.
The boy was walking towards Batchley Park at about 11.20pm on Saturday, June 21, when a gang of up to seven people approached him and asked for a cigarette.
After attacking the victim, the gang stole £15 cash and some tobacco before running off.
The boy's friends were also threatened but managed to run off and call police.
One of the gang members was white, aged 19-20, 5ft 11ins tall with short blond hair.
He was wearing a blue sweatshirt and trousers and smelled of alcohol.
Another gang member was a white woman, aged 19-20, about 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build.
She was wearing a white tracksuit and a white coloured baseball cap.
