BARGAIN hunters are being warned to be on their guard after counterfeit goods were seized from a car boot sale in Redditch.
Worcestershire County Council Trading Standards recently swooped on a car boot sale in Weights Lane, Bordesley, and found counterfeit CDRs along with Omega and Rolex branded watches.
Officers have been visiting car boot sales across the county in a campaign to crackdown on counterfeit traders and illegal imports.
The goods seized in Redditch included copies of unreleased films such as Charlie's Angels-Full Throttle and Hulk which were encased in professionally produced sleeves, as well as watches that were believed to be imported.
Any member of the public who is concerned about the authenticity of a trader can call Trading Standards' consumer advice line on 01905 765373.
