A SPORTS and arts project will be launched in three areas of Redditch during the summer holidays following a cash injection of more than £6,000.
Redditch Council's Action Sport has received money from Worcestershire Children's Fund to set up the project aimed at eight to 13 year olds.
Events have been organised in conjunction with the Palace Theatre and will take place in Lodge Park, Batchley and Smallwood and the town centre.
Summer Sizzle will take place from August 4-8 at St Bede's Middle School in Lakeside, August 11-15 at Trinity High School in the town centre and from August 18-22 at Birchensale Middle School in Batchley.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire Children's Fund has given £4,000 to the All Women's House in Smallwood.
The money will be used to set up a play scheme for four to eight year olds throughout the summer holidays.
