DEAR EDITOR -- I have read in recent editions of the Advertiser/Messenger of the various initiatives being undertaken in Catshill to combat the difficulties the area is apparently currently experiencing.
However, one would ask why is the parish council not involved? Proponents of parish councils would have us believe that parish councils are the answer to all our local problems and therefore one would assume that the council would be at the forefront of these initiatives.
It appears that all the residents of Catshill get from their parish council is an increase in the already exorbitant council tax, a few bulbs planted in the verges along Golden Cross Lane and a garden area adjacent to the Ivy Bush.
