I AM hoping that this letter will be read by the gentleman who stopped and helped me by the side of the A404 (Marlow bypass) in Berkshire on Tuesday, July 8, after my car broke down.
I was completely immobilised and, to say the least, upset at my predicament when a young man driving from Worcester to Hayes stopped and tried to sort out the problem.
Unfortunately, it was beyond repaid at the roadside and he very kindly offered to take me to my mother's address in Maidenhead.
He was polite, extremely helpful and his kindness has restored my faith in the general public.
Both my husband and I would like to say a big "thank you" to him for his assistance on that day. It's just lovely to know that there are some wonderful people out there!
a very grateful motorist,
Address supplied.
