CREATIVE youngsters stretched their imaginations when they were visited by a local artist.
Enthusiastic year 6 pupils from Witton Middle School in Old Coach Road enjoyed making large wire sculptures of sea creatures with artist in residence, Sally Harper on Tuesday, July 15.
Sally has been working with the group for the past six weeks and the models will be displayed against a backdrop of underwater scenes around the school next term.
Curriculum leader for Art and Design Marion Wilson said: "The children enjoyed working in groups on larger projects than we'd normally do.
"The sea creatures will look splendid on display," she added.
