HISTORY fanatics will have a new way to get their fix of days gone by with an innovative new project launched today (Wednesday).
Instead of playing the latest pop tunes, the new jukebox at the history centre in Trinity Street, Worcester, will contain voices from the past, which can be accessed at the touch of a button.
The County Record Office has put oral history interviews on to the jukebox so the history of the area can come alive.
The stories will form part of the Worcestershire sound archive and will give researchers of the future the unique opportunity to hear voices and sounds of the past.
Townsfolk with memories of the Second World War are being asked to come forward and type up their thoughts for a new website called 'The People's War'.
