It just goes from bad to worse for Five Ways Old Eds at the moment.
The Masshouse side were on the receiving end of a nine-wicket drubbing at the weekend against an experienced Streetley side.
And skipper Chris Jones must now lift his players ahead of another tough test on Saturday when Warwickshire Division Three leaders Walsall are the visitors to the Five Ways ground.
Keith Phipps did his best to keep the scoreboard ticking as he knocked up 52 on the way to a Five Ways total of 179-7. But it was not enough to hinder the home side who rattled off the runs for the loss of just one wicket.
Division Three neighbours Wythall also suffered on their travels, going down by by six wickets at Great Barr Unity.
Matt Elwell hit an unbeaten 75 as the visitors posted 235 only for Unity to reach their target for the loss of just four wickets.
Elwell said the side must now lift themselves ahead of must-win matches.
Solihull Municipal are the visitors on Saturday.
