GET ready to run to the shops because Fame Academy loser Sinead Quinn has released a cracking album.
Although she didn't win, the very graceful runner-up of the hit BBC talent show has, to her credit, released a pop album which is worthy of a listen.
So she lost out to Scottish charmer David Sneddon - which is trauma enough for the Irish youngster - but while Sneddon is breaking into Saturday morning kids TV, Sinead is doing the real work in the music studio.
And all credit to the girl who can sing and play a musical instrument, unlike many of her pop rivals.
It sounds ridiculous but I was very surprised that there was not one cover in sight on this her first album, even after all those old favourites she covered to death on the show.
With her own work we see Sinead in a different light and could even put her in the same league as female solo singing sensations Alanis Morissette and Sheryl Crow.
The package also includes CD-ROM videos, screensavers and photos. MS
