AN athletics team from Droitwich Spa has set itself out as the best after winning a district title.
The eight-man team from Witton Middle School, in Old Coach Road, fought off competition from six other schools from the town, Bromsgrove and Alvechurch at Droitwich Spa High School, in Briar Mill, on Thursday, July 10.
Athletes competed in three events each from 100 metres, 800m, relay, shot putt and long jump.
Witton won the event with a score of 215 points, 14 clear of nearest rivals Westacre Middle, also from Droitwich Spa.
Chris Dunn, Witton's curriculum leader for PE, said: "It was an excellent team achievement from a very talented group of boys."
