THREE Bromsgrove tennis players have reaped the success of months of hard work to win a county tennis tournament.
Kate Forester, Katherine Smedley, Andrew Pugh, all from Bromsgrove, and Matthew Sharp of Redditch, represented Redditch's Abbey Stadium Tennis Club to win the Hereford and Worcester Orange League for eight-year-olds.
Having spent eight months qualifying, the semi-finals and final took place at Malvern on Sunday, July 13.
Redditch won the event by 23 points with Malvern Manor Park runners-up, Bromsgrove in third and Hereford in fourth.
In addition to Orange level tennis, the county association runs Red level games for seven-year-olds and Green games for nine-year-olds.
