DROITWICH Spa Bowling Club will have representatives in a national final next month.
Two teams from the Worcester Road club competed against each other in the Worcestershire County Bowling Association Triples competition at Malvern Victoria BC on Wednesday, July 16.
Phil Moule's team with Richard Hall and Rob Dawson ran out 19-7 winners over Andy Sparkes, Pete Davis and Ron Ashby to reach the final at Worcester on Friday, August 1. There they face Worcester BC, who beat Gilt Edge BC 17-16.
Both finalists go forward to represent the county in the national championships at Worthing next month.
Meanwhile, Moule and Sparkes have reached the last 16 of the national two fours competition.
After defeating Broadway BC in the area final, they travelled to Bristol last Saturday to beat GB Britton BC on their home green by a narrow two shots.
