A 17-year-old Studley youth is in intensive care with serious head injuries after he came off a scooter on Sunday morning.
The teenager was riding a 124cc Gilera along the A435 in Studley towards Alcester at about 2am when police think he clipped the kerbside, resulting in him losing control.
A passing motorist found him in the road shortly afterwards and called an ambulance and police and the rider was rushed to the Alexandra Hospital.
A second scooter is believed to have been travelling with the vehicle before the crash.
Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the scooter, or any other vehicles, being ridden prior to the accident to call them on 01926 415000.
