AT the July meeting, Mr Bev Bevins, a Blue Badge Guide, gave an illustrated talk entitled Birmingham, Second City - Second to None.
He started with a brief history of the city, spoke about two of the most important men of the city, Joseph Chamberlain and Matthew Boulton and the founding of the Lunar Society.
He showed some beautiful slides of views around the city, the statues and various buildings.
Some members originated in Birmingham and said it brought back many memories.
Plans for the future Bull Ring also interested everyone.
The August 14 meeting will be an outing to the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans Castle, starting from Kings Court Hotel at 9.30pm.
