Another £1,000 has been raised by the Eddie Boehm cancer appeal and been given to the cancer ward at the Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry.
Mr Boehm, from Alcester, who set up the appeal before he died in 1992, was in the RAF and was cared for by staff at the Coventry hospital.
To date, the charity has raised more than £16,000.
